Rocco Culpepper, a freshman at Niwot High, took 10th in the Class 4A boys final at the Colorado High School Activities Association state cross country championship meet at Norris Penrose Events Center in Colorado Springs. Culpepper covered the 5-kilometer layout in 16:01.9 to help Niwot finish second overall with 92 points. Culpepper became the first ninth-grader to place in the top 10 in the classification at the state meet since 1999.
